These Turkish cookery sessions on zoom were recommended to me by a friend. I have been joining in now for around 4 months & always look forward to it. Over the years I've enjoyed eating Turkish cuisine in restaurants & on holiday in the country, so it's nice to now be able to cook some of these traditional dishes myself! Krisztina is very knowledgeable & has a nice relaxed style of teaching which always includes a story about the history of the dish, the region it's from & the people living there. She uses healthy ingredients & the result is always tasty! It's also been interesting to share/exchange ideas & chat to other people in the Group, who live in several different countries.

"I did! I didn't get the filling quite right, but it was still good. Your post inspired me to try something new. "

"Turned out wonderful. Amazing flavours and textures. Thank you. Most of it was eaten before I remembered to take a picture."

Hi, I’m Krisztina, the founder of Anatolian Sofra.
I love teaching the amazing foods of Turkey. For 20 years I have been exploring the cultural and culinary heritage and learning from amazing home cooks and chefs. My super power is to build a cultural bridge to Turkey.
My mission is to make these amazing foods and everyday practices accessible so that you can create delish meals from seasonal ingredients with ease and whip up impressive feasts that will be loved by friends and family.
Do not worry. The cooking session will teach you each and every step and you can ask your questions wherever you get stuck and are not sure how to do proceed. The steps will be easy to follow so even without much experience in sophisticated kitchen techniques, you will be able to cook these dishes.
The sessions have been designed in a way that you don’t need to spend much time in the kitchen. I will show you an easy way to make yoghurt without fuss. Making Greek Yoghurt will take even less time. The cooking will take about half an hour on the second day and on Saturday, we will have a 2-hour session including the Q&A. If you can’t be there live, don’t worry, it will be recorded.
All sessions will be recorded and available for 10 days after the challenge. We would love for you to be there live, however, if you can't make it, you will have enough time to catch up with the recordings.
The ingredients are simple and if you can't get everything, we will think of replacements
If you are allergic to an ingredient, we will look for a replacement. Please note, that the yoghurt making taught here is based on milk (cow's or sheep's milk) and making plant-based yoghurt is not part of the curriculum.
